Volvo Group is a Swedish supplier of commercial vehicles, drive systems for marine and industrial applications, aerospace components and financial services.

Founded in 1927 as a spin-off from the roller ball bearing maker SKF, Volvo Group was sold in 1999 to Ford Motor Company. Renault are also a 20% stakeholder in the Volvo brand as of 1999, helping to develop the Volvo brand on its commercial side to undergo rapid growth.
