Rover was formed in 1904 and has had a turbulent history. Changing hands in assets and location many times throughout the last century. However, the outcome having passed through Leyland Motors, British Aerospace, BMW, MG Rover, the najing automobile group, Ford and since March 2008 Rovers brand is in control of Tata Motors based from India.
40 different models of Rover have been released to consumers since its origin. These productions are a collaboration of various companies with Rover. Rover also has a fine reputation for historical experimental cars.
