NISSAN HISTORY
Nissan was founded in 1932 by Kenjiro Den, Rokuro Aoyama and Meitaro, Yoshisuke Aikawa in Tokyo. Nissan formerly marketed their cars under the name Datsun.
In 1999, Nissan entered a alliance with Renault of France which today owns 44.4% of Nissan. Nissan is among the top 3 car manufacturers in Japan, known as the “Big 3"; Nissan, Toyota and Honda - who are direct rivals to the Big 3 in the US of GM, Ford and Chrysler.
Nissan have released more than 120 cars over there production period. 38 of these models were produced under the brand name Datsun.
