Kia Motors is a subsidiary of Hyundai Kia Automotive Group. South Korea’s 2nd largest automobile manufacturer with headquarters in Seoul, South Korea.
Founded in 1944, Kia started to manufacture inner tubes for push bikes before moving into car manufacturing. By 1986 Kia had constructed a deal with Ford to produce Mazda derived cars. However, in 1998 Hyundai took over the operation when Kia suffered in the Asian economic crisis.
Kia has models in Army, SUV van and commercial vehicles, but also has a range of 6 passenger cars in mass production.
