AUDI HISTORY
Audi, founded in 1910 is owned by Volkswagen and has been based in Ingolstadt, Bavaria since 1964.
The Audi emblem with its four rings identifies one of Germany's oldest-established car manufacturers. It symbolises the amalgamation in 1932 of four previously independent motor-vehicle manufacturers: Audi, DKW, Horch and Wanderer. These companies form the roots of what is today AUDI AG.
Audi bases its ethos around the well-known saying, "Vorsprung durch Technik". Translated as, "Advancement through technology".
