MANUFACTURER OVERVIEW
Aston Martin was founded in 1914 by Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford. Today, investment company, Adeem Investment, Ford and English businessman John Sinders own Aston Martin.
Aston Martin models are named by the general rule that high performance models are given the Vantage name while convertibles are called Volante’s. With an exception of the current V8 Vantage, as it is it’s own version rather than a version of a higher performance car.
Aston Martin’s are seen as a top range status symbol with strong British connotations.
