The super hot shopping hatch otherwise known as the 2012 Audi quattro hatch will be coming to the United Kingdom after all, but those interested in this most exciting of Audi cars for sale will have to be fast as a mere 20 models of the limited vehicle production run of 333 will be heading for British shores, with a price yet to be officially confirmed.
The four-wheel drive A1 quattro has been based on the three-door version of the company's premium super-mini, but also features a 2.0-litre TFSI turbocharged engine with a bhp rating of 256 with as much as 258lb ft of torque.
Placing such a large motor into such a small vehicle means that the car is able to go from 0-62 miles per hour in as little as just 5.7 seconds and has a top speed of 152 miles per hour, while the appearance of the car is also getting a tougher makeover with a huge rear spoiler, 18-inch alloys and plenty of other details sure to grab the attention.
One piece of possible bad news for buyers in the United Kingdom is that the A1 quattro is set to remain left-hand drive only. The fact is that it was just not cost-effective for the company to engineer such a change with so few of the vehicles set to come to Britain, although there is an argument that this will only increase the sense of occasion that driving the vehicle will be sure to elicit.
