Mercedes Benz Recall C Class and E Class Models

Mercedes Benz has organized a global recall on some of the company´s factory fresh models due to a mechanical default which could potentially harm drivers and other road users.

Mercedes PR manager Rob Halloway has admitted that there could possibly be a problem with their C Class and E Class´s power steering systems. It seems as if the problem is due to the fluid through which the steering functions. Rob Halloway told sky news "We are checking every vehicle, and are writing to owners to visit their local dealership to have a check up." Mr. Halloway has ensured owners that the overall examination and procedure to rectify will take no more than 30 minutes.

Mercedes is set to recall approximately 22,355 cars in the UK and approximately 85,000 worldwide. This isn´t the first time this year where the motor industry has had problems. Earlier this month BMW organized a recall of around 11,000 cars in the UK and 345,000 globally due to a Problem with the breaks.

In September 2010, British manufacturer Bentley was forced into a global recall on account of the famous flying ´B´ ornament displayed on top of the bonnet. It´s been brought to authorities concern that ornament could prove to be hazardous in the unfortunate event of an accident. This has led to 1500 cars having to be recalled.

This news comes off the back of Toyota´s huge worldwide recall which has led to over 10 million vehicles being checked for faulty pedals. Recalls seem to becoming more and more common and there is a worry about the level of damage it is causing to these global brands.
