Dorset Vintage and Classic Auctions forthcoming Spring Sale on Thursday 24 th March promises to be one of their largest yet, offering a wide range of motor cars, commercials and motorcycles.
One of the stars of the auction will be the beautifully restored to original specification 1959 Jaguar XK150 SE Fixed Head Coupe. With an estimate of £45,000 – £50,000, this extremely elegant motor car is a true investment piece and will give its new custodian hours of pleasurable motoring. Joining the Jaguar is another classic British sports car of the same era: a very well restored 1959 MGA Fixed Head Coupe 1800cc with a five speed gearbox (£15,000 – £16,000).
An array of Mercedes have been consigned to the sale; most notably, a beautifully stylish cream 1968 250SL with a Pagoda Hardtop which has an estimate of £20,000 – £24,000.
For those who prefer their transport to be vintage, the Spring Sale will offer an excellent selection: a pretty 1933 MG J2 Midget (£19000 – £23,000), a beautiful 1935 Rover 12 Sports Saloon (£11,500 – £12,500) and a 1936 Alvis Silver Eagle SG 16.95 Holbrook Sports Saloon (£18,000 – £20,000).
